Here they help prepare meals, assist with daily care, and even act as rehabilitation therapists, massaging 74 acupuncture points with voice-controlled intensity. However, the technology still has limitations. A representative at a nursing home said that staff must supervise robots when they feed elderly people because robots are unable to respond appropriately if someone chokes on food.
